Torino,
the gateway to the Italian Alps and host to many
castles and royal palaces, is now also home to
a mansion that features a spectular 1600 square
meter mosaic. Using traditional methods handed
down through generations of the D'Agostin family,
each stone was laid one at a time according to
Regis D'Agostin's precise template. This took
seven stone setters one month to complete to perfection,
working with White Carrara marble the size of
large eggs along with the smaller, sharper edged
Rosso Verona and Verde Eleganza. It was a challenging
project, but one well worth the result.
